Shapes of What Came to Be

We want to see a shape to our life, a through line that hangs it all together. We look for discernible causes and consequences, or at least a few general principles, and if all goes well, an ending that makes sense out of a beginning and middle. But what if it’s just a series of overlying fictions? Regarding this one life, it’s hard to say with certainty.

Homeland

We want to call a geography and a culture that inhabits it our ‘homeland;’

a place to belong, to sustain life, a place to care about.

Heaven and  Earth
