These old pieces are like stems trying to put down feet. Fine here and there,

but not a voice or attention of mind that is mine now. They have been tossed

into a bottom drawer but not forgotten. One day they may find a new voice.

In the meantime, I am not unsettled by someone poking around in the drawer.
